The demand for Americanl gold and bullion eagles is again on the rise. So much so that the US Mint on March 15 suspended collector gold eagle sales in order to allocate available blanks to bullion coins. The US Mint ended the eagle allocation on June 15. Year to date the Mint has focused only on producing the 1oz size.

As of August 24, there has been a total of 813,500 American Eagle Gold Bullion coins minted.
